A Journey to Perfect Interiors
For 25 years, I’ve lived and breathed industrial design, creating numerous transportation interiors, consumer products and crafting custom furniture. This journey has encompassed designing, engineering, and managing projects for marine, avation, consumer/commercial products, and retail interiors. Scott Design Studio is a culmination of my passion for design, love for transportation, and a direct response to restoring cratsmenship of goods in the market. Our mission is to provide clients with exceptional, handcrafted components that elevate the quality and design of their custom interiors. My Story
Today, Scott Design Studio brings all of this experience to combine it with a lifelong passion for automotive and transportation design with an unparalleled understanding of materials, hardware, technology, and meticulous craftsmanship. The result is a studio that creates top notch upholstery and bespoke interior that are a true reflection of our clients’ vision and our collective expertise.At Scott Design Studio, our work is a culmination of extensive experience in high-end design and fabrication, rooted in a lifelong passion for transportation.
Scott’s journey began at age six, hands-on with go-karts and assisting their father with family car repairs. This foundational experience continued with the complete restoration of a trashed 16th birthday Camaro, rebuilding everything from the engine and body to the paint and interior. This early immersion in restoration laid the groundwork for a lifetime dedicated to design and craftsmanship.
A pivotal four-year period at Infusion Design truly ignited this passion, where Scott was instrumental in redesigning several private jets and developing OEM interior kits. Working with esteemed companies like Cessna, Beech, Learjet, Galaxy Aerospace, and Embraer, Scott developed new interior kits, modified existing ones, and created seating programs. It was during this time, immersed in luxury transportation, that a deep love for interior design and collaboration with top craftspeople flourished.
This experience led to Scott’s first sewing machine in 2008. Over the past two decades, Scott has developed and sold custom furniture, bags, dog products, and provided car reupholstery, along with developing several soft goods for startups. As President of Forge Creative, Scott transformed prototyping services into a full-fledged fabrication shop, increasing revenue by over 35% through collaborations with designers, architects, builders, and developers on commercial interiors.
Today, Scott Design Studio integrates this wealth of experience with a lifelong passion for automotive and transportation design. This is coupled with an unparalleled understanding of materials, hardware, technology, and meticulous craftsmanship.
